If you want to live a long and healthy life, you should move enough and eat healthily. And that is what we want for our children, too.
I have seen so many children having weight and health problems because their parents do not care about how much time their kids spend with moving. They have acquired the bad habits of watching TV, playing video games and eating junk food all the time.
I know if both parents work it is not so easy to go out and do something together with kids, but these bad habits ruin their childhood and health.
Below I would like to share some of the activities you can do together in order to keep kids active.
Get Rid of the TV and Go for a walk
It is a fact that watching TV is among the main reasons of obesity. Most of the kids spends 2-3 or even more hours daily in front of the TV chewing some sorts crappy foods.
Keep the TV turned off and go our for a family walk. At first your kids may be bored but make those walkings more enjoyable by taking them into the park showing them various animals and plants. Be creative and make these walkings more interesting.

Have Weekend Adventures
What do you normally do together at the weekends? Do you spend your time indoor? Do you go to city and pop into places where you can eat something? Or do you go to the cinema gazing at a stupid movie eating and drinking garbage?
Get rid of these bad habits and plan weekend adventures. Go hiking, camping, cycling, fishing or go on a swimming trip. Weekend adventures help to get the children out of their boring daily routine and help to experience several things which they would never if they stay at home.
Find Chores You can Do with Your Children
If you live in a house with a garden there are so many things you can do together. Give them small jobs such as gathering the leaves, moving the lawn and so on.
If you live in a flat ask them to help with hovering the carpets, cleaning and tidying the house.
Do not think that they cannot do it! Most of the children want to the chores done by their parents, just we do not let them because we think they cannot.
Introduce Them Various Sports
Not all of the children are involved in football, basketball or baseball. Introduce them several sports and let your children pick the one they are truly interested in.
When I was a child most of the people around me were football lovers. They always talked about football and told be to go out and play football. But I did not like football at all and with that I never played it.
If my father had shown me other sports such wrestling, boxing or combat sports, I’m sure I would have started one of them seriously.
Forget the Car and Jump on Bike
Do you go to the store being some miles away by car? Use your bikes instead! You can put baskets on your bikes to get the things home.
There are so many other activities you can do with your kids to keep them active and healthy, you just need to be a bit more creative.
Besides the health benefits, activities done together help to jump the family together.
