On forums and Q&A sites, countless people ask if they can lose belly fat if they use an ab machine or just by doing various abdominal exercises.
The answer is NO!
One of the biggest misconception is that by training the abdominal muscles we can burn that stubborn belly fat.
All the ab machines are promoted as magic tools, and we believe if we use them regularly we will get those six pack abs. We start to use them, but after some time they will land in the bottom of the wardrobe as we hardly see any results.
Undoubtedly, ab machines are useful to strengthen and tone the abdominal muscles, but they do not burn belly fat.

There are three things you have to do in order to get flat and attractive stomach.
1). Do different ab exercises with and without machines that train all parts of your stomach such as lower and upper abdominis, internal and external obliques, lower back and transversus abdominis.
Exercises will help to tone and strengthen these muscles which will be visibale once the belly fat disappears. Moreover, these muscles are essential for proper body posture and can help to get rid of lower back pain.
Do ab workouts at least 4 times a week with and without machine.
3.) The next important thing is doing cardio training for fat burning. Cardio can be anything which increases your pulse and sweaty. Most of the trainers recommend running, jogging, walking or cycling.

At last I ended at kick-boxing, although I had never done any combat sport before. I love it! It burns fat, strengthen my cardiovascular system incredibly and I learn some self-defense, as well.
I suggest you to do the same if you cannot find any cardio training which you really like doing. Try many cardio activities, do searches on Youtube, and pick one you enjoy the best.

3.) The last essential thing you have to do in order to get rid of that belly fat is dieting.
You will never have flat abs if you stuff yourself with junk food and soft drink all day. As we are not the same, everybody needs a different diet plan, but there are some general rules.
- Eat as less junk and sugar rich foods as you can. Forget those chips, doughnuts, sweets and cakes.
- Instead of sipping soft drinks get used to taking in as much water as you can.
- Eat more vegetables and fruits.
- Take in as less processed foods as possible.
- You last meal should be 3 hours before you go to bed.
- Eat things which are high in protein and low in fats.
